There’s nothing like a Vegas wedding! If you’ve ever attended one, you know exactly what I’m talking about. For those of you who haven’t had the opportunity, let me show a little glimpse of what you can expect. And trust me – it’s nothing like you see in the movies!
Ashley and Austin approached me – a super fun couple who wanted to skip out on all the wedding festivities and have a Vegas elopement instead. Considering their outgoing personalities, I’d say this was the best idea they had!
After sorting out all the details and logistics, I was officially Ashley and Austin’s Vegas elopement photographer for the day. Capturing their adventurous love story was thrilling, and I can’t wait to share all the details with you!
Who knows – maybe these two can inspire you to have your very own Vegas elopement…
The Iconic Little White Chapel
Even though there are countless wedding chapels in Vegas, Ashley and Austin knew what they wanted from the get-go – The Little White Chapel.
If you’re familiar with Las Vegas wedding venues, this one needs no introduction. Still, a place this iconic definitely deserves some love.
The Little White Chapel was first established in the 1950s, and it’s the main reason why Las Vegas became the Wedding Capital of the World. Namely, the owner, Charolette Richards, was the first one to open a drive-thru wedding venue, The Tunnel of Love. In fact, this is where Ashley and Austin took some of their Vegas elopement photos!
It didn’t take long for the Little White Chapel to start gaining attention. Many celebrities got married here, including Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, and even Judy Garland. On top of that, this wedding chapel was even featured on everyone’s favorite guilty-watch, The Bachelor. That said, don’t be too surprised if you recognize it when you see it for the first time!
All things considered, it’s no wonder that Ashley and Austin chose this chapel for their Vegas elopement. What happened inside was where the magic was!
A Traditional Vegas Wedding Ceremony
The lovebirds and I met at the wedding chapel in Las Vegas. From the moment they stepped out, they dazzled me with their looks! Ashley wore a gorgeous gown paired with a striking floral bag, while all eyes were on Austin’s burgundy suit. When they got together, they looked nothing short of perfect.
The couple chose the Amore Chapel for their Vegas elopement and invited their closest friends and family. The vibe was so easy and relaxing, it practically felt like I was part of an intimate family gathering. The only difference – everyone pulled out all the stops for their looks!
As for the chapel, it featured a whimsical landscape that made the place feel like a dream. Paired with the red velvet seating and mid-sized columns, it was everything you’d expect from a wedding chapel in Las Vegas.
Once everyone got together, it was time to officially mark the beginning of Ashley and Austin’s Vegas elopement. And who better to run the show than the chapel’s very own Elvis? He came in looking charming as ever, ready to tie the knot for the couple.
Ashley and Austin said their vows and sealed the deal with a big smooch. The chapel roared with applause, and Elvis gave a performance that made everyone in the room get on their feet and groove.
After the ceremony, we stuck around to capture some photos with Elvis and the family before heading out into the city. All in all, it was a magical ceremony that you certainly don’t see every day.
Portraits To Remember
Ashley and Austin tied the knot, but their Vegas elopement was far from over. In fact, the fun was just about to start!
Before we left the Little White Chapel, we made sure to check out the iconic Tunnel of Love. When we saw the eye-catching pink Cadillac, all of us went into photo mode. The couple were naturals in front of the camera and embraced every part of the venue’s playful vibe. Later, we stopped in front of the entrance for some cake and even more Vegas elopement photos!
Now, one thing I love about Vegas is how diverse and quirky it is. It seems like everywhere you turn, there is a different backdrop. As a photographer, you don’t need me to tell you how fun this is!
Well, the couple also took advantage of this and made their photos magical. From the wedding chapel, we stopped by a casino to take some pictures under the neon lights. After all, is it really a Vegas elopement if you don’t check out a casino? Since we didn’t have a strict schedule in place, Ashley and Austin even enjoyed a few rounds of roulette!
Finally, we met their wedding party, and were headed towards the restaurant for dinner in a party bus. The excitement just couldn’t stop!
Dinner & Entertainment
Ashley and Austin wrapped up their elopement in true Vegas fashion. We went the the Mayfair Super Club for a celebration dinner and a show. Interestingly enough, the couple stole all the attention and got recognized by the performers! Of course, we used this opportunity to capture the last shots for the night before the end.
I’m a sucker for Vegas elopements, especially when they’re as fun as this one! It was such a pleasure working with Ashley and Austin as their Vegas elopement photographer, and it made my night unforgettable. Their photos turned out incredible, and their love story just goes to show you how you don’t need to go all out to make your wedding special.
